Sarah recently stepped into a new chapter of her career, becoming a filmmaker as well as a performer. She wrote, co-produced, and starred in the title role of Alice in her first short film, Alice Is Fine. About the Film Alice has been living with debilitating pain, she doesn't know the cause, and she can't seem to find a doctor who will take her seriously. A tragic comedy about one woman's struggle to be heard as she grapples with gender bias in healthcare. What will it take for doctors to stop treating her pain like it's all in her head? Alice Is Fine premiered at Breakthroughs Film Festival in Toronto, and then had its West Coast premiere at GEMFest 2026 in Vancouver! UP NEXT: Alice Is Fine is an official selection of the WIFT+ Toronto Showcase, and will be screening at Cineplex Scotiabank Theatre on May 13th, 2026! The film is also nominated for two Golden Sheaf Awards at the 2026 Yorkton Film Festival in the Best Short (Drama/Comedy), and Best Performance categories!
